Can I earn Nights, Spend credit, Brand Stays credit or DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) on stays before I joined GHA DISCOVERY?

You can only earn credit for stays with a check-out during or after you enrol into GHA DISCOVERY. This applies to status qualification and DISCOVERY Dollars (D$).

How can I view my account status?

Your member dashboard is your one-stop-shop for information on your account. Access it by signing into your online account here or by downloading and opening the GHA DISCOVERY mobile app.

Once you’re in, you’ll have access to your:

  • Status and benefits

  • D$ balance and transaction history

  • Reservations history and upcoming stays booked directly with GHA DISCOVERY

  • Stay preferences

  • Communication preferences

How many rooms can I credit to my GHA DISCOVERY account during the same stay period?

You can credit up to two rooms to your GHA DISCOVERY membership account as long as:
  • The rooms were reserved in your name.
  • You were staying overnight at the hotel for which the multiple room booking was made.
  • The stay under the same name take place in the same hotel over the same period.

How long will it take for my Nights, Spend credit, or Brand Stays credit to be applied to my account?

It takes approximately 48 hours after your stay has concluded for the nights, eligible spend, and brand stays to be awarded to your account and reflected on your member dashboard on ghadiscovery.com and the GHA DISCOVERY mobile app.

Why didn’t I earn Nights, Spend credit and/or Brand Stays credit for my stay?

Not all bookings are eligible for contributing towards your membership level. For example, there are several rate types that do not qualify for membership benefits, such as:

Third party online travel agency rates, such as expedia.com, booking.com, hotels.com, orbitz.com, priceline.com, travelocity.com, etc. (except the first stay)

  • Tours series rates/charters
  • Airline employee, airline crew rates
  • Travel agent employee rates
  • Hotel employee and staff rates
  • Friends and family rates
  • Complimentary stays including redeeming prize/gift vouchers
If you booked one of these rates, your Nights, Spend and Brands Stays are not applicable to contribute towards your membership level.

Only the room nights, eligible spend, and brand stays during or after you enrol into GHA DISCOVERY are counted towards your membership.

Sometimes I see an ‘NA’ in the nights column of my past stays. What does this mean?

This means that your stay has been recorded, but not validated yet for eligibility. Generally this can take up to 3 days.

Do I receive any credit or DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) for "No Show" stays?

No credit toward status and no DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) will be given for "no show" situations when you have made a guaranteed reservation with a credit card but then do not check in, whether or not your credit card is charged for all or any portion of the reserved stay.

If two GHA DISCOVERY members share the same room, can they both earn credit and DISCOVERY Dollars (D$)?

By default, only one GHA DISCOVERY member can earn credit and DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) per stay. Credits and D$ will be applied to the member registered/attached to the reservation folio. That member will receive Night credits, Spend credits and Brand Stays credits and earn D$, regardless of the amount of GHA DISCOVERY members in the room.

How do I request missing stay credit, including Nights, Spend credit, Brand Stays credit or DISCOVERY Dollars (D$)?

If you notice that any Nights, Spend credit, Brand Stays credit or DISCOVERY Dollars (D$) were not credited to your account but should have been, please contact GHA DISCOVERY Customer Care. Be sure to include the below information:
  • Your member number (this can be found on your member dashboard, on your digital membership card, or on any of your GHA DISCOVERY email communications)
  • Your first and last name
  • The full hotel name and stay dates
  • The hotel/stay invoice and/or the outlet receipt (ensure your name is included on the invoice)
